O is for Oak

Oak
is not only a beautiful, longliving and a practical tree; the word oak - in Norwegian eik - is also in our family name. So it was a very easy choice for me!

Oak is a great choice. I love oaks. My parents have a lot of big oaks around their cabin. I don't know how old these trees are, but around 200 years at least.
love to hear the wind shake the crown of the tree.

Wonderful choice for O, the majestic Oak! The town north of us is called Thousand Oaks and there are well over a thousand oak trees in the town...

A majestic oak picture. I didn't even think of an Oak Tree - I'm allergic to them.
Thanks for the nice comment on my blog
